HOW TO SUBMIT A FICTION PROPOSAL

YOU ARE A POET, A NOVELIST, A CREATIVE WRITER:  WELCOME !

JOHN KEATS

(1795-1821)

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.

John Keats,

Endymion, Book 1

“Nothing exists until or unless it is observed.

An artist is making something exist by observing it.

And his hope for other people is that they will also make it exist by observing it.

I call it 'creative observation.'

Creative viewing.”

The ability of writers to imagine

what is not the self,

to familiarize the strange and mystify the familiar,

is the test of their power.

If there is a book you really want to read

but it hasn’t been written yet,

then you must write it.
