This brilliant book is an attempt to understand President Nixon’s decision to support Pakistan during the war of liberation of Bangladesh. As a young man, the author experienced the horrors of the civil war waged during the period of March to December 1971. This book provides an insightful analysis of the archival documents from Nixon administration during the India-Pakistan conflict over Bangladesh. It investigates the complex events from an insider’s point of view. It will be of a great interest for the academics and the general public interested in the event leading to the creation of the state of Bangladesh.
