ANNE E. McCALL is an Associate Professor of French Literature at Tulane University (USA) and a former Director of the Women's Studies Program of the same university and a former Director of Publications at Presses Universitaires du Nouveau Monde.  After a sabbatical year in Paris where she has worked on a new book on the theme of Letters, Law, and Literature in 19th Century France, Anne McCall has become Associate Dean for the Liberal Arts at Tulane University.  She is the author of the acclaimed book, De l'être en lettres.  La correspondance de George Sand comme autobiographie.
